KIRKBY AVENUE – OUR VISION, OUR VALUES
We believe in the potential of every child and that our duty is to develop that. We believe in supporting and enabling children to fulfil their potential by carefully and relentlessly NURTURING SUCCESS with them and for them. We believe that in order to do this we must attend to the needs of all individuals at all times – CHILD BY CHILD, DAY BY DAY, NEED BY NEED.
All staff focus upon providing the highest possible standards of education and upon enthusing pupils with a love of learning. Through providing creative, broad and balanced experiences we inspire confidence and celebrate the uniqueness and successes of all in a safe inclusive environment.
Christian and British values underpin our community, and we utilise these alongside a culture of mutual respect, to ensure the happiness and personal growth of each individual. We celebrate diversity and embrace differences in our school.
What do we really mean by school ethos? Ethos is a term with Greek origins, which refers to morals, values and beliefs. Whena school has common goals and values, you can feel it the moment you walk through the gates and the doors and we believe this is evident here.
At Kirkby Avenue, we work hard to maintain an ethos that has purpose and meaning. Teamwork is definitely at the core and we hope that our entire community will work together, sharing a wide range of strengths. We want every member of staff, every pupil, every parent to feel that their opinion is valued and to believe collectively in the school's direction of travel.
By working in partnership with families we nurture the whole child and provide a firm basis for our pupils to develop into responsible and fulfilled members of society.
We also have school values that we try to model and encourage in our daily practice.
Our Values are -
Kindness
Respect
Resilience
Friendship
Teamwork
Trust
Honesty
Tolerance
