Welcome to Maple Class 2023-2024
This year, your class teacher is Mrs Phillipson and your LSAs are Mrs Crawley and Miss Brown.
On a Friday morning your class teacher will be Miss T and you will have Miss Stockwell for PE in the afternoon!
Some key things for you to know
PE is on a Friday, however please bring your PE kit in on a Monday and leave it in school until Friday on your peg. This should be in a small bag, NOT a backpack/rucksack.
Reading Superstars
You must take your book and diary home every night.
To be a 'reading superstar', during the week you must read:
three times to an adult at home;
three times to yourself at home;
three times to yourself at school.
Star stickers will be added to your personal bookmark each week and prizes handed out to those that have achieved all of their stars!
Homework
Homework is given out on a Friday and due in on the following Wednesday.
Each week you need to complete:
One item from the homework menu;
Spellings (these are on the class Dojo page);
At least one set of times tables.
Please speak to Mrs Phillipson if you have any queries regarding homework expectations or adaptations.
Spring term in Maple Class
Our current reading book is 'Beasts of Olympus: Beast Keeper' by Lucy Coats. This is linked to our new topic 'Ancient Greeks'. We will be learning about this historic civilisation and how they have influenced our lives today!
See below for our Spring parent forecast to find out what we are learning across the curriculum.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
