Over the last few months, Year 5 and 6 children have been working on the Primary Challenge 2021, where they were asked to design a new water area for Waterworld in Stoke-on-Trent. As part of this challenge, the children had to work in small groups to plan, design, market, create merchandise and promote their water ride.
All children had great fun and showed teamwork, creativity and were extremely enthusiastic about the rides they had created! One team had to be chosen to be entered into the competition, and after lots of deliberating, 'Team Terrain' were chosen to go forward.
We were absolutely thrilled to hear that 'Team Terrain' had made it to the NATIONAL finals and the group were invited along to Waterworld to present their work in front of a judging panel!
The children were AMAZING at Waterworld and presented their ideas with confidence and enthusiasm. This was clear to see and the judges felt they were organised, delivered a great presentation and showed fantastic teamwork. They also commented on the amount of work the children had done for this challenge. 'The Terrain' came second place - what an amazing achievement out of hundreds of other entries! Well done!
