Dear Parents/Carers,
I am sure after the Prime Minister's statement that you have lots of questions. We have lots of questions that need clarification too.
At the moment, for school there is no change to the guidance. We will provide care for those parents whose work is critical to the Covid-19 response and only those that cannot be safely cared for at home. The message is that it is still safer to stay at home.
We have not received any further information to support us with the proposed plan to start the phased re-opening of some year groups. We have been promised further guidance from the DfE in the near future, which should contain detailed clarification of the proposals. Only with clear and detailed guidance will it be possible to begin to plan. Any plans we draw up must allow us to be able to guarantee the safety of children, families and school staff.
Please be assured that we will not re-open until we are 100% prepared and 100% assured that we can do it safely and responsibly for all.
Our plan for now is to continue to provide as many learning opportunities as possible - please support your children's education by ensuring regular engagement with these. We will continue to maintain regular contact with you, our families and would like to encourage you to contact us if your circumstances change and you require any further support or guidance.
Safety is a priority! Thank you for working with us in these difficult times.
WE MISS YOU ALL!
